Any song which is so ridiculously obviously about sex that it’s campy. Think Prince, “Darling Nikki.” I don’t think I could make it through that one without at least one halfheartedly goofy attempt to role-play Prince. (Or, say, “Paradise by the Dashboard Light,” or anything from Rocky Horror.) ---

Back in HS, I was groping around on the couch with my then-girlfriend with Extreme’s “Pornograffiti” album on the stereo. (“More Than Words” had seemed appropriate enough.) We eventually stopped really listening to the album, until it got to a track that just went something like, “Sex! Sex! Sex! Sex! Sex! Sex!” etc. (I don’t remember the album well enough to say exactly what it was, but it was something like that.) We both stopped, looked at each other, and cracked up. “I’m getting these ideas in my head, and I don’t know why,” she said. Dr. J ---
