Ah! I see that I didn’t post this back when, so I will post it now. “That Girl is Mine” by Michael Jackson & Paul McCartney fills me with the rage of a thousand suns. What the hell, people. Okay, so you’re both dating this girl, and you both apparently thought you were monogamous with her, but she’s seeing the other dude. So what do you do? Confront her about cheating? Reflect on the situation and realize that you may have assumed a commitment that wasn’t there? Decide that she isn’t really someone you want to be involved with, and ghost out? Talk to the other fella, who you’re apparently friends with, and both decide to dump her lest she break up your friendship?? NO. Those would have been reasonable responses. Instead, you two lunkheads get into an argument about who deserves her more, who she loves better. Hellooooooo? There’s exactly one person who can answer that question, and it ain’t either one of you. You fellas need to be taking this up with _her_. “The Girl Is Mine”, bullshit. She ain’t the property of either one of you. If you aren’t willing to share her affections, you need to find another girl. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: ---

I had to review the whole thread to make sure I hadn’t already posted this. There are some good (bad) songs listed here. I haven’t seen “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips on this thread. I’d love to just once go into a grocery store and NOT hear it. :smack: “Sundown”, which has been mentioned here many times, was about Cathy Evelyn Smith, with whom John Belushi was partying on the night he died. :eek: ---

Megamart radio plays the same songs over and over again, torturing the drudges who have no say in what is played. Whitney Houston (all of it) “I’ve got a brand new pair of roller skates” “What is Love (Baby Don’t Hurt Me)” Celtic Folk song “Nancy’s Whiskey” is an earworm song if there ever was one. I’ll probably be hearing it all night now. Gordon Lightfoot “Sundown” has been mentioned already. I hate songs that pull me out of the music because I am confounded by the lyrics. “American Woman” Any song with an exceptionally loud, over-amplified bass line from a car lingering on our street. At Christmas (this was another thread) “Santa Baby/Santa Buddy” A Medley of “Let it Snow” and “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.” My husband tells me that he hates hearing sad songs at work when he has hours to go before he can give me a hug (Dan Fogelburg, for example) ---

I like many of the songs in mentioned in this thread. Some songs are a bit annoying. I very rarely feel the need to turn off the radio. The current Indie music isn’t my thing. But I only stumble onto it on YouTube. The thing I hate most is country artists rapping. Taylor Swift grates on my last nerve. It bugs me because some of these artist can sing. Blake Shelton has recorded some great country. His new stuff has that hillbilly rap crap in it. ---

Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Lookin’ Out My Back Door “Doo Doo Doo Lookin out my back door” sung over and over at a somewhat manic speed. I loathe the sound of Fogerty’s voice, although I tolerate some CCR songs better than this particular one. I also can’t stand listening to Bob Dylan sing - I could never appreciate his “genius”. And Jewel - you know, the “poet”/songwriter. Zero artistic merit. She seems to have faded away, for which I am grateful.
