You don’t like the artist or band in general, however, there’s that one or two songs that you think are worth listening to anyway. Which songs are they? “Artists you don’t like” being defined as a band/artist you like fewer songs by than you can count on one hand - _and_ know well enough to actively dislike their other songs. So unless you have extra fingers, don’t pick band you like a half dozen or more songs by 😃 My list off the top of my head: “Reptilia” The Strokes “Goddess On A Hiway” Mercury Rev “Be The One” Hootie and the Blowfish “Grave Digger” Dave Matthews Band “Crush” Dave Matthews Band “Let Me Kiss You” Morrissey “Could’ve Been A Contender” by Aerovox “Equus” Blonde Redhead “Molly’s Chambers” Kings of Leon “To Repel Ghosts” Manic Street Preachers “A Secret Society” Manic Street Preachers “Darker” Doves (the?) “Toxic” by Brittney Spears. What a corker of a song. I’d love to hear a cover. “Common People” by Pulp “Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me” by The Smiths “Murder on the Dancefloor” by Sophie Ellis Bextor And another vote for the brilliant “Your Cover’s Blown” by Belle & Sebastian, a band I usually find to be hovering just on the edge of annoying. ---

“Death Letter” by the White Stripes might be my all-time winner. If I look further into their stuff I’d probably find a few more tracks I like, at least in the old blues vein. ---

Try “Ball and Biscuit” from _Elephant_, or “St. James Infirmary Blues” from _The White Stripes_. And there’s about a dozen other songs that are heavily blues-influenced.
