\*Oh Yeah \* by Yello was in the movie “Secret of My Success”, a brilliant little 80s piece of fluff with Michael J. Fox. _Minuet #4 in G_ by Christian Petzold AKA _The Duel_ in another piece of 80s fluff “Electric Dreams”. It’s been attributed to Bach (but apparently incorrectly). Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony is inextricably tied to “Clockwork Orange”. ---

“Unchained Melody” and **Ghost** have already been mentioned, but I have to tell this story of Pepper Mill’s: One day she’s working at the front desk of the dentist’s office and a little girl waiting there hears “Unchained Melofy” on the music system. Pepper asks her if she likes it, and tells her it’s called “Unchained Melody.” Little Girl: That’s not "Unchained Melody. That’s the music from **Ghost**! (Pause as she reflects on this). LG: It was sad when Sam died. It was sad when he died again. ---

The Marseillaise is what I remember most distinctly from _Casablanca_. And ever since I first saw _Full Metal Jacket_, the Mickey Mouse Club theme song totally gives me the creeps. ---

I think some of you are just picking a memorable song from a movie. What I meant was, you’re listening to the radio, and a song comes on and suddenly all you can think of is a scene from some movie - that you can no longer hear that song without thinking of that scene (like **Excalibre** ’s second example) ---

I thought it gave that song a whole 'nother dimension. I never thought the regular one was all that great, but I can’t hear the regular one now without thinking of those creepy things and that weird stilted way they sung it, and I like it better. Creepy is better than sticky sweet, if you ask me-- less boring, at the very least. ---

Wasn’t **Oh Yeah** also in _Ferris Bueller’s Day Off_?
