Show Me The Way by Styx. Cheesy McCheesalot, but you can rock out to it’s power balladness. Dennis DeYoung’s a tenor, I’m a lazy alto, it works for me. Used to be everywhere when I first discovered kareoke but I haven’t seen it in years. ---

Hmm, I have generally found awesome songs to sing at karaoke night, but there are a few I have never seen. Of course, I have a very deep voice for a female, and I just can’t do most of the female-lead songs, so I am generally stuck with the male ones. Sometimes it just doesn’t sound right. -_Love and Affection_ by **Joan Armatrading** -_Ladder_ by **Joan Osbourne** -_Playboy Mommy_ by **Tori Amos** Usually lately, though, I have been sitting out. I mean, who can compete with the endless renditions of **Staind** ’s \*It’s Been Awhile \* and drunken attempts at _Dust in the Wind_? :rolleyes: ---

I’d like Styx’s \*Come Sail Away \* myself. I’m a big fan of super-bombastic, long, long songs for karaoke. \*Paradise by the Dashboard Light \* is also good for this. I have to go to not one but two events Saturday night that feature karaoke (a birthday party and my 10-year high school reunion). I foresee a Styx-y revenge in the organizers’ futures. 😉 ---

I’m still reeling from the idea that_Sugar Walls_ and _Sit On My Face_ can be found in karaoke bars. Anyone seen _The Penis Song_ or _Every Sperm Is Sacred_ anywhere? _Darling Nikki_ might be barrels of fun, too. _Big Ten Inch Record_ might be kinda fun, and I’ve never seen that. I’m not sure I can sing like Steve Tyler, though. ---
