So many people with good taste on these boards. It’s astounding. “Red-Eyed and Blue” by Wilco, I just love the whistling. “Poor Places” and “Misunderstood”, also by Wilco. “Bottle Up and Explode” and “Big Nothing” by Elliot Smith “Cry on Demand” and “Nuclear” by Ryan Adams And finally, “In The Aeroplane Over the Sea” and “King of Carrot Flowers” Pts. 1, 2 & 3 by Neutral Milk Hotel ---

“Excursion Around the Bay” - Great Big Sea, the live version on _Road Rage_. The energy and joy of the audience is amazing. Wish I could get the lyrics - the don’t put 'em in the liner notes or on the website. ---

I _finally_ bought Tori Amos’ **Little Earthquakes** today after many years of putting it off. Precious Things has to be my fave from the album. **The Vines** - Country Yard is another of my faves at the moment. ---

“Clockwork Chartruse” - Loudon Wainwright III. A catchy little ditty about pointless violence. “Tank!” AKA The _Cowboy Bebop_ theme song by Seat Belts. Just bought all the DVDs, still lovin’ that theme song. A couple of _Sigur Ros_ songs that I’m not even going to pretend to known what they are about or what they are saying. So beautiful, so odd. “Parasite” and “Which Will” by Nick Drake. Damn VW commercial got me to buy the CD, and find these songs buried in the middle of it. Thanks VW. Obligatory Wilco song of the moment: “Misunderstood” [Previous page](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/songs-youve-been-obsessed-with-lately/132428.md?page=2)
