Why do these things always happen in Florida? There was the man in MY APT COMPLEX who beat his eight year old daughter to death and dumped her body in the woods over Thanksgiving weekend a few years ago. Then there was the shining hero who decided to punish his toddler for soiling his pants by turning on the oven to broil, heating the racks up to 500 degrees or so, then pulling them out and sandwiching the toddler between them. Anybody else leaving this planet for a more civilized stellar body? ---

What the hell. Is it that such things were not reported in days past, or are people just becoming more and more hideous and cruel. I feel so bad for what this poor child had to go through. Whatever punishment is conconcted for this is not enough. It can never be enough. ---

Am I the only one who is completely desentized to this shit? I’ve heard so many stories about stuff like this, that this is what I’ve come to expect from my fellow man. The only thing keeping me from hating all humans is the fact that my own parents are loving, caring people. ---

I don’t know **airdisc** , I think that if you look through the previous responses to the OP, and those which are sure to come after, you will see the thoughts of people who will _never_ get “desensitized” to things like this. The mother (who left her small children with this animal) was subsequently taken into custody for violation of the terms of her probation. The “babysitter” beat the little guy to death. His girlfriend helped him wrap up the tiny corpse and discard him by the side of the road. Since I don’t know any more details in this case (and I don’t really want to), I’m prepared to hold the mother largely harmless here. The other two are heartless animals and should be put away. But you absolutely can NOT judge “all humans” from this small sample. There are plenty of people in this world like **jarbabyj** (and me, for that matter) who would love to care for, educate, and just plain hug an adorable little kid like that. There’s the tradegy.
