Congrats to you, Bosda. Being an uncle is way cool. No need to go all out financially, just be there for them. I am an uncle 9 times–6 nieces and three nephews. I also have a great-niece and a great-niece and a great-nephew in the oven. Both pregnant nieces are due in early February–right around my 53rd birthday. Please keep us posted. I’d like to know when Margaret finally arrives. Incidently, Margaret is such a beautiful name. I’m glad your dear grandmother is being honored by continuing the use of her name. ---

Congrats, Bosda - I became an aunt last December to Hannah, who rules my world, and will become another one (to another sibling’s child) next Mayish. It’s exciting. It’s fantastic. It’s the best. Spoil that child rotten - she deserves it. Here’s hoping you live close enough to do so - my niece lives in my city of Minneapolis, but my ? lives in New Jersey. Sadness. It could get expensive! Well, **Bosda** , you know the baby game mostly consists of “hurry up and wait”. Inducing a baby is not a bad thing. (Sometimes it can be a huge relief.) So, although it sounds bad, I’m sure your sister and neice will be perfectly safe. And just to neener neener you, I was an aunt before I was even born! 😃 I became a great-aunt at the age of 20. (This is the benefit of having a much older sister who has a daughter two years older than me.) Good luck, and best wishes! Keep us posted! ---

I’m going to be an aunt, by marriage, next May. And my niece-to-be is a whole THREE years younger than me. Ack! I know about the waiting – my closest female friend had a baby a month ago Monday, and the last two or three weeks were torture for us all. She DID end up being induced, and everything went beautifully. I AM an honorary aunt, just not a real one. And I’d better NOT be, or my brother has some explaining to do! ---

Congratulations, **Bosda**! 🙂 I’m not a real aunt to anyone… my brother and sister would have a LOT of explaining to do to the family and friends if this was so. However, sometimes I get called “Auntie” by the kids at church (sometimes their parents get them to call me that) … so I don’t know if that counts. Hope little Margaret arrives soon! I love that name; it means “pearl” in Greek. I know a few Margarets, and I’m sure your niece-to-be will be a very good, caring woman like they are. 🙂 F\_X ---

Fear & anxiety in **Bosda** ’s place. No baby yet. Last night, Mom went to hysterics. She’s afraid the baby, my sister, or both, will die. No _reason_ for this–just the stress of waiting. Also, the emotional toll from her cancer treatments. Of course, the doctors all say that Mom, my sister, _and_ the baby are all fine, & doing great. But the stress is ripping all of us up. And Sis doesn’t want Mom down there raising her stress levels, so Mom is up _here_, raising _ours_. Much crying, unhappiness, & loss of sleep in Maison **Di’Chi** last night. ☹ ---
