I was pregnant and/or breastfeeding for the past four years and just weaned the 2nd child in February. It took a few months for me to go back to prepregnancy almost Bs. I am sad. I miss the full C that was the gift of horomones!
That said, my college roommate had her DDDs reduced to Cs and was very happy with her decision despite some post-surgical complications (infection IIRC). She was anxious that she would look very different. As she put it, “My boobs are balanced by my butt - if I have them reduced I might tip over backwards all the time!” It turned out that she didn’t look all that different, just “tidier.” Her shirts finally fit right.
Boobs - there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.
I am smaller than normal myself (I’m an A), so I tend to get a little jealous of larger cleavages, but I’m hoping that having children someday will help. That said, I do appreciate the benefits of having smaller breasts, especially with regards to sports, etc.
starryspice, you are not smaller than “normal.” Smaller than average, yep, but there’s nothing abnormal about being an A cup. And I’d love to not have had to have the surgery to have the IBTs; as far as I’m concerned, you’re one lucky woman!
I was a largish A for the first few years and now am a smallish B. I think the pill made 'em grow just a bit, and they haven’t gone back. I don’t care as long as they don’t go above B, though!
(at the risk of asking a too-personal question…) How old were your mother and your aunt when they had reductions? I’ve been losing weight and, while the band is too loose, the cups of my (professionally fitted) 38DD bras still fit.
I’m at the “enough is enough, already!” point. How old is “too” old? And will the grooves in my shoulders ever fill in?
My mom was 60 and my aunt was probably about 62 or 63 when she had hers done. I’m not sure about the details of my aunt’s procedure, but my mom went home the same day and was out and about within a week. She’s in good health.
My sister-in-law had a breast reduction, and she’s thrilled. I don’t know what she was before (hell, I don’t know what she is now!), but she looks great. After her surgery, she was so excited to buy clothes - she could buy the proper size shirt and have it fit perfectly. No more buying to cover the girls but having ill-fits everywhere else. I’ve never heard anything other than women loving the outcome with breast reduction surgeries.
