They were actually filming an episode of “Cupid” on Ellis Avenue in Hyde Park, Chicago. My buddies and I were trying to get back to work before lunch hour was up and they had the cameras and the rent-a-cops blocking us. “Gotta wait, bud,” they said. A middle finger and a couple of “I’ve got a real job” does wonders. I bet they had to film that scene twice.
