My parents ordered a rack of lamb and cut it into chops for the four of us to share. When it came time for dessert, by brother looked at the menu, and asked, “do you have an apple?” The waiter went to a nearby produce stand, and bought an apple, and triumphantly produced it. My brother replied, “i was just curious”. ---

And there are commissaries that will make your homemade soup. You give them the recipe, and they follow it, and provide you with your own creation, but generally cheaper and more consistent. ---

All this microwave talk really reminds me of Kitchen Nightmares where Chef Ramsay always claims you shouldn’t have a microwave in a proper kitchens resturant. ---

Gordon Ramsay is a reality show hack who has done great damage to the culinary world. His opinions on microwaves are just another one of his elitist tirades that have no actual bearing on the quality of food prepared by a restaurant. ---

I remember helping her out in the kitchen, back in dickety-three, by holding up the metal foil while she ran the magnetron! One time I held the foil up at the wrong angle, and not only melted one of her favorite spatulas, but also sterilized her cat! She was mad then, but we had a good laugh over it later. ---
