Apparently, his thread titled something like “Madam, I must protest” has been disappeared. I read that thread when it had about 6 replies. There was absolutely **NOTHING** ban-worthy in it. Unless he added something I didn’t see, this is bullshit. Ban a guy for nothing, then hide the “evidence”? What kind of Star Chamber are y’all running here lately?

I saw **SoulFrost** ’s thread before it was deleted. He definitely got a bit rude at one point, but it was hardly an abusive screed. Given that he’s been a member since 1999, don’t you think a warning for the ATMB-inappropriate language would be more fair than permanent banning? Has he even had any other warnings in his 12 years at the board?

Even before that post he had already tried to suicide by mod yesterday [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=14107770&postcount=2). It was probably his long standing that caused that to go unanswered until he had some time to cool off.

Sorry, should have closed this thread, we do not normally have comment for banning threads in the thread itself.
Yes, it was suicide by mod. Not the first post in that vein from him but definitely the worst. And definitely the last. Most unfortunate.
