soul meets soul on lovers' lips - a kissable MMP

Or should I try to steal it?

Score for Lynne_kilii!!!

y’know, we’re up WAY too late.

Whadayamean, late? It’s 10 am!

“Maaaah, Nava’s up way past her bedtime!”

Sorry, next time I’ll try not to be so helpful …

::slinks away quietly::

Eh, that wasn’t a criticism of your helpfulness, loved it!

Just my coworker’s criticism of whomever made the pictured paella  Me, the only part I don’t much like is the fabes (big kidney beans), which give me gas… burp

Morning all! Been a busy week, so it;s been hard to keep up. I got hockey again tonight.

SCL, that is a stupid woman.

sheesh, sweetie, I thought when you announced you were changing your screen name you were gonna go with something completely different. I guess we call you bb now (because while Dopers in general prefer few keystrokes, MMPers prefer even fewer - or many many more - face it - we just call each other any old thing we like. nyah. :p)

Haze, if you think these are CFM boots, what would you call these? especially when worn with that dress

I’d call those “Bend Me Over and Nail the Crap Out Of Me” boots.
Rowr.

She’s a blonde and not a redhead, so… when did Gwen Stacy rob Mary Jane Watson’s wardrobe?

That dress sure is colorful

Oh shush. You say that like it’s a bad thing. That model is hot, too…

Wow…it was…(searches for right word) eventful here last night.

So…what would happen if everyone changed their name to (one of) their nickname(s) from the MMP? Would we have to find other nicknames? Hmmmm?

Awake. Kinda. Nephew is playing with his sister’s Gameboy-thingy, so I’m allowed to use my computer.

Off to the laundry shortly.

I’ve been up about an hour already, the critters have been tended to, and Bernie found something in the yard to roll in. Bath day today, I believe. I was afraid Bernie was going to go walkabout since I didn’t have shoes on to chase her into the wooded part of the yard, but she just walked around, and in a few minutes, I saw out the window that she was coming back to the house. If only I could trust her to do that all the time, I’d leave her outside. Oh well.

**FCD ** had a bad night - he woke up for some tylenol and TV in the wee small hours, but I was able to crash again. He’s snoring away right now as I caffeinate.

**SCL ** - You must be a glutton for punishment to be a member of the board. Da noive of some people and the stupid requests/demands the make would drive me to the proverbial clock tower with the proverbial Flaming Bazooka of Doom!! Have a drink and a kitty skritch and forget about the looney…

Speaking of kitty skritch, I caught the end of a touching moment yesterday: my sweetie had just lifted his hand from some intensive kitty skritching. Most of yesterday, she was either on him or on the back of the couch watching over him. The observant of you will note that we swapped out sofas for the duration of the recuperation, since the reclining love seat wasn’t long enough for a full-stretch nap.

And just this morning, I documented this goofy moment. Scruffy “buries” her doggie treats all over the house. Last week, I noticed several pothos leaves wilting in the corner of the dining room, and under them, a treat. Last night when I went to put my laundry basket back in the closet, I saw a familiar brown form in the far corner. When I was sewing the sail cover and left a pile of scrap fabric on the floor, it proved to be a perfect hiding place. What’s really hilarious is when there’s nothing around to cover the treat, but Scruffy repeatedly runs her nose across the carpet as if pushing dirt or leaves over the treat. She’s a goofball!

This statement, for some reason, reminded me of a ditzoid who used to work with one of my sisters. She was so excited at the news of the first successful “test tube baby” because it meant she could have a baby but not have to go thru that pregnancy thing and lose her figure. Yep, potential Mother-of-the-Year, that one…

Happy Friday, all!!

Bluuur-frikkin’-uuuurf. Caffeinating. I had not 1, but 2, fire pages last night. The first was for a vehicle accident that brought down power lines, and the second was for a brushfire. The brushfire was called at 12:30, and I was out 2 hours <yawn>.

So much for my plans of getting to work at 0500 and skipping out at 1300.

Overnight ambulance duty tonight, too, with a high school football game in the mix. I don’t need no steeeenkin’ shuteye.

Well, my new nickname (as of this Monday) lasted only a post or two before it got a nickname.

The evolution of AHoosierMama:

AHoosierMama
HoosierMama
HoochieMama
Hooch

What’s next?

Hoo?

Then

Ho?

Well at least they are all kinda synonomous. You can call me anything. Just don’t call me late for the paella.

Maybe we should introduce her to Idiot Lazy Whiny Co-Worker? Whom I didin’t push down the stairs. In spite of him arriving at Full Whine (“I’m soooo tired. I can’t do any work. It’s been such a long day. I don’t want to do any shelving. I’m tooo tired”.) Of course, he doesn’t have any money.
Also, in my experience, picking up and poking a cat that doesn’t want to cuddle is a great way to make a sullen, nasty cat. I agree with your ideas about cat-raising. She’s going to have an unhappy little beast in a year. That probably bites.

I’m awake, and I’m going to have tea, toast, put together some bread dough, and jet off for my penultimate trip to the laundromat. Yay!

Madame Hooch? Wanna be the gym teacher at Hogwarts?

Well, that was fun.

I just, sorta, bathed the dogs. I found that kneeling next to the bathtub and trying to wash them really, really hurts my back. So they pretty much got soaped on the trunk and neck, and rinsed all over. I expect to find wet spots on the carpet thru the day as they move where they decide to lie down, until they’re all dry. No doubt about it - paying to have them cleaned and pressed is definitely worth it. Stoopit dogs.

**FCD ** is still asleep. I now need a shower, but I don’t want to go back there and disturb him. So I’ll be sweaty and nasty for a little while longer. Stoopit dogs.

House is open - not sure how long it will last, but the 10 day forecast is promising highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s - good sleeping weather for sure. Is air conditioning done for the season?? Hope hope hope…

Rosie, I really like those boots. I had a couple pairs bookmarked at home that I want. I love boots. I got a really cute pair at the end of the season last year. I need to pull them out again. I don’t know if they are work appropriate though.

You women and your boots…
