Stupid Facebook.
Poor kitty looks very embarassed at her new haircut!
Hello all!!
At last…by popular demand…the pool pictures!!! These are the ones that the pool company rep took. I await proper oooos and ahhhs. ![]()
bobbio, at least you didn’t adorn it with truck balls.
taters, did you find a dress?
fcm, I do my mutts in my laundry tub. I’d be cripped for days if I used the bath. Now the bird gets his in the shower. ![]()
haze, pore kitteh.
Tupug
She’s really cute. She’ll be even cuter when her hair grows back.
I’m pretty sure Horrible Whiny Co-Worker has no money. Another matchmaking attempt failed. Shucks.
It’s the particular tone of voice that he uses that bugs the hell out of me. The Whine. You know, the tone that’s unattractive in toddlers and is absolutely repulsive in adults? “But I don’t waaaaant to! I shouldn’t haaaaave to work!”
Dude, you do realise that the reason you’re paid is because you’re here, theoretically working? The work=money. Apparently this is too complicated.
VBob, that is the most totally awesome plate ever. And I love the arm.
That’s a very nice pool AND yard.
I did find a dress, but if I hadn’t been in such a rush, I don’t think I would have bought it.
Ooh! I better get going!
Maybe you need to send him to Jamie Lee Presley. She did a pretty good job training Randy last night on Earl.
Can I come over, Pugs? That looks like an awesome pool!!
Sure! Water’s still at 82 degrees.
Nice pool and yard! Can I come over too? Where are you? Do I need a passport?
:: checks files ::
I’ve got a passport. Now I just need travel money.
Hi everybody.
Been a busy day here. Boos, yays, etc…
More later. Maybe I’ll even read the thread.
Sure! Orlando area, so, yeah these days you’ll need your passport.
Whoot! I’m first on page 8!!
Cool! I’ve a cousin in Tampa.
I thought about doing Scruffy there, but it’s my studio, and I’m not sure I want a dog shaking water all over assorted works in progress. She’s small enough that I could probably have done her in the bathroom sink, but it’s too bowl-shaped - poor pup wouldn’t be able to stand. So to the groomer she’ll go. Incidentally, your pool is bee-yoo-tee-full!!!
Taking a break. I put the “band aids” on all of the mugs for my sis. I also made my first foray into staining clay. I’m pretty sure I didn’t use nearly enough, but it could still work out kinda pretty. I put yellow in one batch and green in the other and I made a flower pot/saucer set from each. At the worst, it’ll just be a hint of tint in the background. When I go back down there, I’m going to try a smaller hunk of clay and a bigger pile of stain. I tried looking in my books for suggested ratios, but no luck. I’ll try googling.
**FCD ** is crashed again. He doesn’t want to take the dilaudid, and tylenol just doesn’t do it. I’m not sure why he refuses to use the good pain meds. Some people!! sheesh… I did tell him he needs to call his mom every time he poos because when she called last night, she asked about his bowel movements. Aren’t mothers adorable??
Well, off to google clay staining. Back later.
poor widdle shaven kitteh.

Is Cloud Maiden the one who will end up with a misanthropic kitty if she isn’t careful? Why won’t she take your suggestions, Haze?
So, don’t shoot me, but I am not a fan of chocolate cake. I prefer carrot cake or coconut cake. We used to collect enough from each cow-orker to pay for a decent bakery cake and still have a pretty penny for the gift card; but this year we cut way back on the contributions, so the cakes are homemade on a voluntary basis. Which means I take what I get and like it or else. <sigh>. I should be “surprised” in the next half hour or so. I’ll let you know.
Musical surgical tables: VWife is now firmly booked for 22 October; the previous date of the 15th was an assumption. The scheduler could not move someone else out of the way, and the sawbones doesn’t want her in the horsepistol over the weekend, ruling out Wednesday the 17th…
Stay tuned. More as this develops.
Poor kitten, Haze.
:: fans self ::
FCM, good luck with the clay and hope FCD does better!
Is it just me, or does that sould like some kind of… euphemism?
Anyrose, that just means more chocolate cake for me.
YAY! Coconut cake! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
puggy, I love your pool! Where’s the drooling smiley?
I am supposed to talk to the hiring manager this afternoon. Her IM was pretty funny - she says she’s excited and that she hopes that I’m “really serious about the position! LOL”. That last bit is a direct quote. I also spoke to my recruiter yesterday - did I mention this already? - and last week, the hiring manager was asking her if I would maybe consider staying on permanently. So, I’m fairly certain I have the job. Since I’m working in HR, I already know what the benefits situation is (they’re decent, and comparable to what I had before), so really, the pay is the only thing that’s up in the air. (It’s possible that they do not know how much my agency is really paying me. My recruiter bribed me to take the position, after all.) That, and if this job is WYSIWYG. If they’re going to add additional responsibilities/people that I’m not aware of right now, I would take that into account. The really appealing part of this job, to me, is that the position is new, and is dedicated to one group, instead of multiple groups. Plus, since the position is new, I can basically make it into whatever I want.
Yay for coconut cake, rosie! I love it when people remember my cake preferences.
oh and since they know I do do mauls, instead of a gift card - cash. Enough to pay for my expensive dinner on Sunday. Ten of us (maybe 12 if the one couple gets back from their daytime shindig on time) are going to the Grand Lux Cafe. The only problem is: too many choices!
We’ve returned from getting the boy’s haircut, picking up wrapping paper for the wedding gift, purchasing a couple of new CDs, and filling up the rig with gas.
Next, I’m wrapping up the prezzie and will do some general straightening up for a short while. After that, I must finish beautifying myself for tonight’s wedding.
I’m not looking forward to the drive, AT ALL.
Off to be productive.
