# Sound effects on phone

Can anyone tell me of a good freeware or shareware program that will allow you to play wav’s or mp3’s etc through your modem to your telephone line. I have been looking for programs for the past hour but i cant seem to fine any. Thanks for the help

You don’t necessarily need another piece of software. If you have a modem with a microphone jack, simply line out from your sound card into the mic jack. Play the mp3 or wav with your favorite player while the call is connected and viola!

In theory this should work, but I can’t say that I’ve ever tried it.
