# Soundscan Question

Does anyone know which stores are actually counted in the soundscan numbers?  
also, how do you get access to these figures?

IIRC, it’s a computer based system that monitors every store at the time of sale. Now, I’m sure that there are some smaller stores that don’t make it in the finaly tally, but most do.

so places like best buy will count and also bigger independent stores like pennylane recrods right?

Like I say, IIRC. I could be totally off base on this, but I think that I’m right. But, yeah, Bust Buy through your local record shop will be on Sound Scan’s list. Just very small ones that may miss Sound Scan’s gaze will not be on there.

Heh, sounds like a nekkid house (strip club). That should be BEST Buy.
