Loved the anime jokes, and the animation was really good. Stealth Cartman was a riot. The last 5 minutes sucked though- wow a “wardrobe malfunction” joke that’s funny. :rolleyes: Whenever the boys get preachy, the funny goes away. “That’s like the 15th time that has worked!” Heh! 🙂 ---

I didn’t see the wee-wee either, but that’s because I was crying from laughing so hard. Cartman creeping across the stage was hilarious. My SO literally rolled on the floor laughing about it. This is my favorite episode ever. Definitely need more anime SP episodes. ---

I was laughing so hard at poor Butters because that is exactly how a group of boys react to causing injury. I was a little shocked at the ‘Your Jewish blood won’t let you throw away those, they cost money’ lines. I know Cartman goes on about Jews but that was pretty bad. I guess you could argue irony as Cartman himself wanted the refund. I liked the woman drivng by, seeing kids fighting with weapons, and driving off. ---

Jesus Ch-- I mean, what a bad idea! That movie should have gotten an NC-17 for violence. Those poor kids are going to end up either snake-handling fanatics or atheists. Hopefully the latter. (And people think “South Park” is sick…) ---

When the kids were at the fair buying the weapons and Cartman tells Kenny there is something that even he can afford (throwing stars), I just _knew_ someone was going to get it in the eye! Something amazingly similar to this happened in my neighborhood over 25 years ago, resulting in a bloody head-wound to poor little Johnny R. Excellent episode! I would feel kinda sorry for Butters, except he’s a cartoon character. I kinda figured that the “message” would be that more people would be outraged that someone injured _a dog_ than a little boy. Close, but no cigar. * * * Fagjunk Theology: Not just for Sodomite Propagandists anymore! ---

Excellent show. Really excellent. The star in the eye was almost too much, though. That’s one of my phobias; I got hit in the face a few years back and came within a couple of centimeters of losing my right eye. Still have a faint scar on the brow above. So seeing a kid with a shuriken sticking out of his eyeball was pretty intense. Seriously, I could feel my gorge beginning to rise several times. Very, very dark humor. But absolutely necessary, once it was clear where they were going with it. And yeah, the anime stuff was spot-on. The cantopop parody could not have been more perfect. I think we should organize a protest campaign, just so FCC Chairman Michael Powell is forced to watch the episode and see what his asinine puritanical pandering really means. 🙂 ---

I realize it was mostly an anime parody, but what was the deal with the widescreen? An homage to Kurosawa? I haven’t see any of this movies but for some reason that’s all I could think of. ---

Spoiler box just because I don’t get to use them enough. Cartman sneaks out on stage naked and everyone is shocked. Then Butters staggers onto stage and collapses and everyone is more shocked. Cut to a South Park town hall meeting. Everyone is outraged and the boys are going “oh, shit.” But it soon becomes clear that they’re pissed about Cartman being naked (the auction was televised among other things) rather than Butters being hurt. The three other boys play along and Cartman gets punished. Nobody gives a crap about poor Butters. ---

Quick addendum to that spoiler: Butters is shown at the meeting cleaned up and with a big patch of gauze over his eye, so it’s not like everyone forgot about him. ---

Further addendum:Having learned the lesson that adults will tolerate any amount of violence as long as there’s a little sex to distract them, the boys pick up their weapons the episode ends with a joyful freeze frame of them leaping into potentially-maiming action.I loved anime-Chef. ---

Also…there was a brief (one second or so) flash of the old woman’s breasts when Mr. Mackey took off her shirt.
