I took that scene as a joke; I doubt they animated Muhammed in the first place. But the knuckleheads at the forums at [southparkstudios.com](http://southparkstudios.com) seem to think Comedy Central stabbed them in the back. ---

Not sure if they’re showing it now. In any case, I’ve now got season 5 on DVD, so I can watch it whenever I want. And it is a pretty funny episode. ---

I loved the manatees stopping “working”, and their random idea generator, ending up with the salmon helmet. I bet they never animated Muhammed at all either. ---

Great episode, as usual. They even poked fun at themselves multiple times. So…did Comedy Central puss out? Was Mohammed meant to not be seen? I’m sure details are coming on rather soon. ---

Actually, the only episode that’s been officially pulled from Comedy Central is Jared has AIDS…not so much for the AIDS jokes as for Butters getting abused by his parents. I believe it still made it to DVD though. ---

Yeah, when I first heard about the Danish cartoons and the uproar, I was like…why didn’t they get all in a t izzy about that episode? Of course, I’m guessing because it’s not demeaning or insulting in that episode of South Park, unlike the cartoons. ---

Great episode – it’s nice to see them tackling important issues like censorship and how easily fear can be used to clamp down on freedom of speach (and being funny at the same time). I have trouble seeing the smugness of hybrid car owners as a social problem. I’m willing to bet they knew Comedy Central would never allow a Muhammed cartoon to air, since the episode seems constructed to make those blackout scenes especially shocking and poignant. In retrospect, the episode also reads as a jab at Comedy Central. I hope their bosses have a good sense of humor – I’ve been told it’s not wise to bite the hand that feeds you. I love the self-referential jokes about South Park being too preachy. It’s always nice to see that Matt and Trey are actually capable of self-criticism. Best line of the week: “Cowabunga, motherf\*cker!” ---

As long as South Park generates profit (ads, merchandise, DVDs, etc) for Comedy Central the writers are safe. I was surprised that they used actual footage of Osama (does this mean he get’s credited as playing himself 😉 ?). It’s pretty funny that CC thinks showing Muhammed is to far, but are willing to show Jesus Christ shitting on George Bush! 😃 Was the Arabic scrolling across the screen real? ---
