In the 11/7/01 episode of _South Park,_ "Osama bin Laden Has Farty Pants\* – [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osama\_Bin\_Laden\_Has\_Farty\_Pants](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osama_Bin_Laden_Has_Farty_Pants) – the one where the boys go to Afghanistan to return a goat – it’s a running gag that everybody mistakes the goat for Stevie Nicks. Why? Did they just pick Stevie Nicks at random, or is there some inside joke here? ---

I believe the joke is that Stevie Knicks does, indeed, sound like a bleating goat. Listen to “Landslide” and try to tell me that’s not a goat. ---

Actually I think “Gold Dust Woman” is a better example of her vibrato. It was a funny comparison. ---

Chicago’s WXRT once had a dj–I forget his name; he was fired for drinking on the job–who said after playing a Stevie Nicks song, “That was Stevie Nicks. I heard somewhere that in the movie of Elizabeth Taylor’s life, Stevie Nicks will play the pig.” One of the funniest non-sequiturs I have ever heard. ---

They pick on all celebtrities, and frankly, Stevie nicks got off really easy. Everyone just assumed it was her, even thought it was really just a goat. I can think of a lot of people they slam a lot harder then her. Jennifer Lopez, Barbra striesand, Mel Gibson, Russel Crowe(Fighten 'round the world!), just to name a few. ---

It’s a tough call with the South Park boys. They’ll rip you to shreds if they hate you, but sometimes they’ll rip you to shreds for no better reason than you were sitting there, minding your own business and they felt like you just _need_ someone to rip on you. Look what they’ve done to poor Canada? What did they ever do to deserve South Park’s wrath? They might actually like Stevie Nicks, but they’re not going to let her off the hook. She has had some wild goat-hair days. ---

They also sometimes rip on you even if they _like_ you. Apparently they do actually like Matt Damon, but his puppet came out looking retarded in **Team America: World Police** , so they just went with it. Damon is quoted as saying that he’d have been insulted if they _didn’t_ rip on him. ---

Add Sally Struthers to the list of celebrities savaged by _South Park_. Just because she’s gained weight in her later years, they depicted her as Jabba the Hutt. ---

I mean, The canadians have flappy heads but other then that the worst you can say about them is their country looks a lot like OZ. Hell, they even got to kill Saddam.
