In their column explaining not printing the cartoons, they printed Ofili’s “Holy Virgin Mary”, the painting with closeups of female genitalia and daubed with dung. I would not be surprised to find that there was a covert connection to an extremist “American Patriot” group. Dick Cheney is probably jealous that he didn’t think of it first. First of all, it’s YOUR idea that it’s a shadow group, so it’s YOUR responsibility to prove it and eliminate weasel words like “seems” and “I think”. Second, there should be multiple fatwas against this group, right? Can you link to them? I’m sure there are plenty of groups overseas that carry the same flag but if this turns out to be a stealth trouble-making group… the hell that will follow from all sides. ---

The South Park Season 14 DVD finally got released. I’ve been waiting for this one ever since 200/201 first aired, in hopes it would shed some light on what really happened. Unfortunately 200 and 201 are the exact same versions as the ones which first aired. They even have the swearing bleeped, which are uncensored on the rest of the season 14 DVDs. As for the commentary track It’s just one long bleep sound. Seriously ☹ I’m still not sure if Trey Parker is wooshing us or not… ---

Disappointing, but unsurprising. Hopefully the uncensored version will come out some day. ---
