I was thinking, esp. with the live action bit at the end, that had they only done this a year ago. It probably wouldn’t have mattered. Though “woke is dead” is clever. I don’t know how he’ll get his revenge, yet he will. Now that he is a verifiable billionaire and might pay lawyers or threaten congress or pass an EO, he is certain to go for payback before his feeble mind forgets or even comprehends. > DT: They said I was small where? > Cabinet Loser: They said and showed you had a small dick sir. The second episode of Season 27 will apparently feature Cartman turning Kyle in to ICE and having him put in an internment camp. The thing that’s always been the most pernicious, and certainly the most infuriating, about the toxic and morally bankrupt “all sides are equally bad” mindset is that it always benefits the biggest slime, and for as long as any of us have been alive, that’s been the Republicans. And it’s only gotten worse with a truly evil amoral monster who destroys everything he touches holding supreme power, whom a disturbingly large swath of this country is _hellbent_ on protecting from consequences. Many of whom support him _because_ of the crap-for-brains “all sides are equally bad” mindset that Matt and Trey championed for so many years and was the keystone of their own astronomical success. So it’s clear to me what’s happening here is simply a variant of “I never thought the leopards would eat _my_ face”, namely, “I never thought the leopards would be _stupid_ enough try to eat the face of a _god,_ and now we’re going to make them wish they were never born”. Because let’s get _real_ here: We are talking the most universally beloved, defended, protected, propped up, bulletproof, untouchable, immune, critic-proof, failure-proof, and suffer-the-most-subatomic-misfortune-for-anything-ever-proof duo that has **ever existed.** Barbara Streissand took one indignant swipe, and she was dogpiled into paste and promptly vanished off the face of the planet. How many other stars objected to their portrayal on the show? How many _weren’t_ rebuffed halfway to the Moon while Matt and Trey walked away without a scratch? When Paramount fired Stephen Colbert, they were stunned mainly because they never thought their employer would do something so utterly brainless as put Trump above them, but there was absolutely no way they were going to lie down and accept this. Going after Trump now isn’t justice, it’s just the bull reacting to being messed with, and rest assured that its horns are _sharp._ Of course, if Trump is insane enough to try to make of a fight of this, here’s the big question: Who’s with him? The people in this country who are still willing to oppose Matt and Trey on any front probably wouldn’t fill a school bus. We are talking a cartoon series, a pair of men, a mindset, and a phenomenon whose universality of popularity dwarfs _Beavis and Butthead._ Trying to shut down South Park is like trying to shut down the Pacific Ocean, and the latter would probably have more support. ---

_South Park_ S27E2, “Got a Nut”. This was _not_ the episode in which Kyle gets sent to an ICE detainment camp. I’ve seen a scene from that one, and that’s apparently still to come. In this episode, Clyde Donovan hosts an alt-right podcast and comes into conflict with Eric Cartman for stealing his shtick. Cartman begins “master debating” as well. Mr. Mackey gets fired from his job as school counselor (because schools only _need_ one Counselor nowadays, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ), and in order to “make his nut”, he joins ICE and gets very good at rounding up and detaining immigrants. (Yet he never loses his humanity entirely; even when literally raiding Heaven to detain the brown people in the afterlife, he apologizes and says he’s “just trying to make his nut.”) Mackey rides with Kristi Noem on his missions, and her face keeps falling off and getting reattached. Eventually, Mackey comes to the attention of Donald Trump and is invited to Mar-a-Lago, to help him with his nut. Only Trump means it in a different way, of course. The biting satire against the second Trump administration, which somehow makes the first one seem like heaven in comparison, is as brilliant as in the season premiere. This is going to be a fun season. ---

Nah, this wasn’t a brief snippet that I saw; it was a full minute and a half. I can only assume they’ve made a full episode about that. As I recall, the ICE agents were surprised to find a Jew there in Alligator Alcatraz. Kyle said, “I’m here because a stupid fat ass called immigration on me.” And then all the Hispanic kids said the same thing. ---

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if there was an episode this year with Cartman turning Kyle in to ICE again. Oh, and I was disappointed. No PSA at the end of this week’s episode. ---

Too much Kristi Noem shoots dogs. Does her face really collapse like that? I’m sick of seeing small-dick trump. And still don’t get why he’s portrayed as Canadian. At least they started getting at Vance. Going to heaven to arrest latino angels would have improved if Satan would get out of bed. And c’mon, it’s at least a few days since ICE was renting box trucks. How many mexicans can you fit in one? Parody gives so much 1st amendment right to try and get people to sue you and Paramount. Go for broke guys. ETA: And I totally missed where the Charlie Brown Christmas / Loo loo loo (Hark the herald angels sing) came from. Esp. without the charlie brown snowflakes. The Simpsons got that right. ---
