And by 1995 they weren’t nearly as popular. Even if a bunch of kids in the class had them, they wouldn’t have been talking about them that much. ---

I graduated high school in 1969 so I’ve never even seen a Trapper Keeper. I assumed they were a schmancier version of the PeeChees we had. ---

It is a three-ring binder. Came bundled with folders. Different features but typically one side of the inside cover had a zipper pouch for pencils and things and the other a clipboard. Came with a variety of cover designs like lunchboxes of the era. My kids are asking for one of those creepy fucking things for Christmas/birthdays. The Stanley cups (@Darren_Garrison) and for a brief moment, Crocs/the McDonald’s toy version were a thing. ---

There’s a relatively recent meme showing a screencap of an article about a company introducing Labubu-shaped Dubai chocolates; it points out that the phrase “Dubai chocolate Labubu” would have made zero sense just a few years ago. At my tiny elementary school in the late ‘80s - early ‘90s, many teachers banned Trapper Keepers from their classrooms. I don’t remember why. We were required to have simple 1” 3-ring binders though, and in one class we were _graded_ on how well organized they were. A couple of my junior high teachers also did this; one even marked me down because another student vandalized my binder on grading day. 🙄 ---

This can’t be the episode that was scheduled for last week (Sept. 17) which they postponed because they said it hadn’t been completed. The Brandon Carr kerfuffle started that day so apparently they scrapped the episode they had and made this one. I guess when you have a billion and half dollars, you can do that. I wonder if we will ever see the scrapped one. Since they depend on timely content, probably not. It wasn’t as funny as the first few episodes, maybe because it was rushed, but I do appreciate their dedication to free speech. I hope Carr liked it. ---

I didn’t get into scouting, but friends and my older brothers did. I thought I remembered the Webloes wore the “Fleur de lis” and am not sure if the “Boy Scouts” can include girls now. I don’t mind Jesus - who does? - yet I cannot stand either Trump, the Veep or Satan. Hopefully James Comey gets the guillotine next week. SP needs to hit SCOTUS, not the Boy Scouts. Trump will skip a lawsuit against Trey and Matt. They are scuril…scurrll.. really bad and should be locked up in a foreign country, ---

Great! Dunno about the Webeloes. I reckon they bridge younger Cub Scouts in about 4th grade (as these kids are) into Boy Scouts a couple years older. If the gag was gender confusion it was pretty lame. They did pretty good with Israel and Netanyahu. Kyle’s mom led the conflict with Canada 25 years ago. More BiBi, less Trump. ---

This season had some potential with Cartman’s dilemma with “woke is dead” I can’t stand Trump or Tattoo/JD. I don’t like Jesus in this show. None of it is funny. Is humorous less than funny? Then it’s not that either. It definitely looked like Matt & Trey wanted out of their Paramount contract - by being overtly controversial. Not out-rightly suckingly un-funny. Who the fuck is Peter Thiel? He’s the guy we’re satirizing this week? Is this show still written and produced by Matt & Trey? I hear their voice characterizations so they’re reading lines. Worst Episode Ever. And I got the pun on the title “Twisted Christian” before watching it and was waiting for that shitty song to play. Even that bit at the end sucked. ---
