Well, “Hey Boy” can mean anything from a friendly hi to something that makes the N word look friendly by comparision. One of the times I have been most pissed, felt disrespected, and actually feared for my safety is when a Georgia cop kept calling me “boy” in that certain tone late at night alongside the road in the middle of nowhere. “That boy aint right” is a pretty obvious statement (though southern style) that somebody isnt playing with a full deck in one way or another. ---

I used “bless his heart” in a Facebook post in response to an article posted by a friend. My friend, who is a native New Yorker who now lives in PA, didn’t get it. ---
