Born and raised in Georgia, still living there now, though I have moved to Atlanta to get away from my multitude of relatives. It’s a beautiful state, with warm winters, not much in the way of hurricaines or earthquakes. Some of the people though… sigh. ---

I live in Tennessee now, in the Nashville area. I was born and raised in NY state, then lived in Virginia for 25 years, and I’ve been in TN for a year and a half. ---

Just a heads-up, Southern USA Dopers: the thread for non-USA Dopers is clicking right along and **Antonius Block** reports that the summary file there now has 324 unique names. With the additions (and a few deletions) to the summary file for this thread, we now stand at 229 Dopers, and these are the biggest states: TX 38 TN 34 FL 32 GA 25 VA 20 MD 17 NC 16 AL 11 all other Southern states have less than 10 Dopers being counted. The next summary will be posted after post #200 – whenever that is. ---

Thanks for including me in the list! I’ve made no secret of living in Tennessee. Although I grew up in Gibson County, I’ve lived in Nashville since the mid-1960’s when I came here to go to school. Nashville had only about 100,000 people then and wasn’t Metro. I still ate at the Pancake Pantry though and Mr. Baldwin would take my _check_ for my order! “The Forest Primeval” refers to my backyard, my state of mind and my fifty year fascination with the poem “Evangeline.” ---

Louisiana born, 3 years in Virginia, back in Louisiana, just a different part of it due to Katrina. I say ya’ll and sometimes dawlin. If I go out of the South I really put on the accent. ---
