Don’t like boiled crawfish? Heretic! Hell, I thought if you didn’t suck the crawfish heads they booted you outta the state. 🙂  
Actually, though I’m definitely Cajun, my taste in food certainly doesn’t show it. I don’t like boudin or cracklins, or even…Gasp!..gumbo. I think I was switched at birth.

Mmmmm - cracklins! All I have to do is close my eyes and I can _see_ that grease-soaked paper bag. (Hey, at least I’ve lived here long enough to know not to buy the ones in plastic bags!)

Crawfish is pretty much the only Cajun food I don’t like (well, except for the far-out stuff like turtle soup and pigeon [my wife’s grandparents had a pigeon coop - YUCK!]). Some of the sausages I’ve had since I’ve been down here were downright orgasmic, though. Fried turkey rocks, too. In fact, it’s so damn good that it’s starting to catch on in other parts of the country. There was a thread about it on the SDMB last Thanksgiving.

So, anyway, stop your lurking! AFAIK, I’m the only Louisiana doper with over 1,000 posts. Or at least the only one with a listed location, so there may be others. I feel lonely around here sometimes. 🙂
