I’m not sure what the etiquette is regarding replying to threads by banned users…

But there were only a few replies so I figure I’ll just start a new one and link to the original:

Like others I’m a huge Donnie Darko fan, and the horrible initial sundance reviews made me expect that this would be a horrible piece of crap. Well, it wasn’t, I don’t think… but I’m not sure. I’ll echo Cervaise’s friend from the original thread:

“That was terrible, but somehow, I’m curious to see it again.”

Reading IMDB I guess it helps if you read the graphic novels first… but I don’t think you should have to do homework before going to see a movie.

I don’t have lots to say, but I’m curious what others thought of this… I don’t think I liked it all that much, but it’s certainly compelling in an abstract sort of way.

We watched this tonight, expected it to be crap and were very pleasantly surprised. A bit messy but good solid performances and some genuinely hilarious parts and lines. I didn’t know Sean William Scott could act!
