Sovereign Citizens-- Please tell me this is fake

Officer: “You might not accept it, but that doesn’t mean it’s not happening.”

Great stuff.

There should be a separate category of offense for SovCits: Being a Class I pain in the ass.

Love the officer’s sigh as he reads the “license plate.”

This officer encapsulates, in a single simple line, the entire problem with SovCit thinking.

They are like a person driving at 200 miles an hour towards a concrete wall refusing to steer away or apply the brakes because they believe that if they just explain to the wall that it shouldn’t be there, it will vanish.

Repeated abrupt contact with reality is about the only cure for that kind of psychological malfunction. Either they get better or they end up in jail or dead. Either way the neighbors win.

I’m waiting to see this exchange.

Sovcit: I’m not an American citizen.

LEO: Very good. Let me see your passport and visa or your green card, please.

Sovcit: I don’t have those.

LEO: Excellent. You’re under arrest.

I get the feeling that the man really didn’t think this would work, but he was somehow pushed into it by his wife (?). Anyway, the way he holds the phone while she blathers on about the Geneva Convention and Lieutenant Somebody and Section 18 of something—look at him. He’s practically rolling his eyes while she goes on.

That doesn’t excuse his lack of cooperation with the officer when asked to get out of the truck, but I’m pretty sure he’s going to say to her at some point in the future, “You idiot; I told you this wouldn’t work!”

Good for the officer for remaining calm and professional and reasonable at all times.

I love that little device the cop uses to bust out the window. It just shows up for a flash and I didn’t get a good look at it, but it just shatters the glass.

Usually they use nightsticks which require harder hits.

Window punch. Just one of numerous variants.

I wonder why more departments don’t carry them.

Maybe if sovereign citizens continue to increase we may see more of these.

I think most do have them in their vehicles for emergencies but not usually on hand for traffic stops. How often would they really need to use them for a vehicle parked on the side of a road? But of course, the SC nitwits create issues everywhere they go.

Anybody can get one, too, and it’s not the worst idea to have one for the car. They’re pretty cheap, and some variants come with seat belt cutters, in case you need to cut your way free.

Sadly, those sovcit loons are on the increase. While they may seem amusing, they really are quite dangerous. Sovcits have killed LEOs and others.

It was pretty satisfying to see the blabbermouth Michelle go down at the end. I wanted to stuff a sock in her mouth. These people must know this never works.

Here’s a question: Do the SCs see the rest of us as a bunch of gullible sheeples meekly accepting our oppression while they run free as the wolf? Do they think they’re gaming the system? “Look at all these morons paying their taxes when they could just invoke [whatever brand of SC BS they believe] and live as free as Davy Crockett.”

Basically yes, the only “real” benefit they get from being SC is that smug feeling of superiority to the common sheeple.

Well, that and probably avoiding paying a bunch of the nuisance fees and taxes the rest of us pay. Just avoiding car registration and insurance can run to $2-5K per car per year.

Folks with the right kind of occupation may be able to completely skip paying income taxes which amounts to a ~30% pay boost over what they’d earn & keep as ordinary law abiding citizens. I would not mind an extra 30% year in and year out to spend as I wish.

The IRS will may eventually catch them. But if the money is spent, it’s spent. Debtor’s prison is no longer a thing, even if the debt is owed to the government.

Agreed. There are a lot of couples out there where one is a loon (SovCit or otherwise) and the other either goes along with the lunacy or is hounded to distraction. Sadly, it’s real hard to go along without that eventually turning you into whichever sort of loon your spouse already is. Tolerating that behavior turns into mimicking that behavior turns into doing that behavior turns into being that behavior.

well, yes but you can get all of that by being a run of the mill tax/fee evader, no need to be a SC.

True. But one feels like being a common criminal or scofflaw, the other feels like righteous, righteous vindication. Which may be what you were saying all along.

I worked with a guy who believed the world was flat, and yet, he did feel much superior to the rest of us sheeple.

Of course, a belief in a flat earth doen’t attract as much attention as a fake licence plate, or are you as likely to get your window broken into.

I have a space pen/window punch combo.

Don’t get mixed up and use it in space.
The rest of your day will be exhausting.
