Trying to find the details of a failed Arctic expediton that was rescued by the Soviets, who collected the survivor’s shit and put it on display for long lines of tut-tutting babushkas. Proof that in extreme environments Capitalism literally resulted in cannibalism. Didn’t Saul Bellow use this story in _Humbolt’s Gift_?
