I hope little AJ gets healthy enough soon to have the second transplant…or maybe you will have a miracle. They happen…why shouldn’t they happen to AJ?

Just posting an update for anyone interested…
AJ is doing MUCH better! Yeah!!! He’s still in ICU, but the docs are saying he’ll be able to head home by the end of the week. His lungs have finally drained, and he’s back to his normal lovable self—and ready to jump out of the window from boredom. I spoke with his mom at the family reunion today, and she said that the next step is some kind of treatment where they are going to infuse his blood with antibodies every three weeks until he reaches the point where the risk of rejection is minimized enough to be eligible for a new bowel. ::fingers crossed::
Thank you a hundred times over to everyone who had him in their thoughts and prayers–it worked!
