Remember that old Army commercial, “We do more before 9am than most people do all day.”? I had one of those days. By 9am today I was already out on the bike for a while with a group of about 20 people; this was after a early morning balloon flight, an hour in _my_ car + ½ hr in the chase truck getting back to our meeting spot. I want nappage, but it’s a boo-fit-ull Sunday out! There may also be a movie instead. Why go inside in a dark, air-conditioned box when it’s as nice out as it is, I don’t know. 😕 ---

The house is closed and the a/c is on, damn the luck! But \*\*FCD \*\*treated me to DQ, so there’s that. The Dairy Queen just opened last Tuesday and we went over to get a couple of peanut buster parfaits - them suckers are $4!!! It’s been a few years since I had one, and I seem to recall they were under $2 way back then. The place was crowded - inside and drive-thru. I noticed Rita’s Frozen Custard across the street from DQ wasn’t as busy as it usually is. Nor was Bert’s ice cream window. It’ll be interesting to see when the novelty wears off. When we came home, we transplanted a peony from the back yard to the front. I soaked the ground really well, fed the plant, and mulched it. I’ll need to water it daily for a while. And there are a few other plants that need to be moved - some liriope, a coneflower, and a black eyed susan - I’ll do them in the morning before it gets too hot, then I’ll run the sprinkler for an hour or so. Tomorrow. Today I chill. ---

I had bruch(poblano pico and jack omelet, chili cumin turkey bacon ,and hash browns). I cleaned my bathroom. I went to the container store. I won a $15 gift card for watching a shelving demonstartion. Conversation I had with my sister today: Me: I went kayaking once. My sister: I never get to do anything exciting. Me: Well, this was at the cottage of someone who now hates me, and I got a sunburn. My sister: GOOD! Hahaha 😃 Made me laugh. Supper was barbecued steak and potatoes. Yum! ---

Got a bunch of household chores done around the house, rode up to one of the scenic spots on the plateau on the bike with my neighbor and fixed steak fajitas for supper.
