It’s poetry in motion
And now she’s making love to me
The spheres’re in commotion
The elements in harmony
She blinded me with science
(She blinded me with science!)
And hit me with technology
I’ve got a tiger by the tail, it’s plain to see;
I won’t be much when you get through’ with me
Well, I’m a-losing weight and a-turnin’ mighty pale
Looks like I’ve got a tiger by the tail
Where’s that tiger? Where’s that tiger?
Where’s that tiger? Where’s that tiger?
Hold that tiger! Hold that tiger ! Hold that tiger!
Letting it go is jumping the train
Is to dance with the tiger
Letting it go though we won’t be the same
Is to dance with the tiger
Letting it go is the name of the game
Is to dance with the tiger
And laugh at the rain
Blame it on the rain (rain)
Blame it on the stars (stars)
Whatever you do don’t put the blame on you
Blame it on the rain yeah yeah
Should we blame the government?
Or blame society?
Or should we blame the images on TV?
No! Blame Canada, blame Canada
With all their beady little eyes
And flappin’ heads so full of lies
What did you learn in school today,
Dear little boy of mine?
I learned our Government must be strong;
It’s always right and never wrong.
Our leaders are the finest men
And so we elect them again and again.
The teacher stands in front of the class
But the lesson plan he can’t recall
The student’s eyes don’t perceive the lies
Bouncing off every fucking wall
His composure is well kept
I guess he fears playing the fool
The complacent students sit and listen to some of that
Bullshit that he learned in school
Teacher, teach me how to read and write,
You can teach me about biology,
But you can’t tell me what I am living for
Cause that’s still a mystery.
Teacher, teach me about nuclear physics
And teach me about the structure of man,
But all your endless calculations
Can’t tell me why I am.
We don’t need no education
We don’t need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
We destroyed the government
We’re destroying time
No more problems on the way
I’m through doctor
We don’t need your kind
The other ones, ugly ones
Stupid boys, wrong ones
I’m all alone, so are we all
We’re all clones, all are one and one are all
All are one and one are all
I still remember how it began (gan-gan-gan)
They produced a carbon copy man (man-man-man)
Born in a science lab late one night
Without a mother or a father, just a test tube and a womb with a view
I think I’m a clone now (a clone now)
There’s always two of me just a-hangin’ around
I think I’m a clone now (a clone now)
'Cause every chromosome is a hand-me-down
I can still recall
The wheat fields of St. Paul
And the morning we got caught
Robbing from an old hen
Go tell Aunt Rhody
Go tell Aunt Rhody
Go tell Aunt Rhody
The old gray goose is dead.
Go tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain
Our Jesus Christ is born
Over the hills and far away,
He swears he will return one day.
Far from the mountains and the seas,
Back in her arms he swears he’ll be.
Over the hills and far away.
Riding through dust clouds and barren wastes
Galloping hard on the plains
Chasing the redskins back to their holes
Fighting them at their own game
Murder for freedom the stab in the back
Women and children are cowards attack
Run to the hills, run for your lives
Run to the hills, run for your lives
Please Mr. Custer, I don’t want to go
Hey, Mr. Custer, please don’t make me go
I had a dream last night
About the coming fight
Somebody yelled “Attack”
And there I stood with a arrow in my back.
Little arrows in your clothing
Little arrows in your hair
When you’re in love you’ll find
Those little arrows everywhere
Robin Hood and Little John
Runnin’ through the forest
Jumpin’ fences, dodgin’ trees
And tryin’ to get away
Contemplatin’ nothin’
But escapin’ and finally makin’ it
Oo-de-lally, Oo-de-lally
Golly, what a day
