Go on, be fallacious with me. You don’t have to identify your fallacy, but it is ok if you or others do so. Obviously there are bonus points for entertaining or insightful posts. Things can proceed sequentially from the first or later fallacies, or you can start your own chain. Just quote a fallacy to indicate that you are continuing a narrative. ---

He’s not a real jerk. Real jerks always make spelling mistakes. Now, another guy made a spelling mistake, so he’s a real jerk. But, jerk or not, you’re still bad. Very bad. Pastor Filbert said so from the pulpit, and you can’t lie from a pulpit. God won’t allow it. I really objected to the way you said, in the OP, that things had to proceed sequentially. ---

Hey, speaking in logical fallacies is totally natural. I’m sick of all the sheeple believing the Big Logic people when they tell them to use “better” arguments. They say they’re “more reliable”, but I know they just want to make a quick buck and don’t care how many people’s minds they poison. I’ll stick to traditional arguments like the ones that have been used in China for thousands of years. ---

Sure, we start intentionally using logical fallacies like slippery slope arguments and then everyone uses them and pretty soon the entire system of logic and reason breaks down and civilization itself collapses. ---

According to **Try2B Comprehensive** , people don’t think. I think that’s complete horsepuckey - I know I think, I’m sure plenty of other Dopers think. Having utterly refuted one of **Try2B** ’s arguments as a pack of lies and misrepresentation, I think we can safely ignore what he says from now on. I hear he fucked a pig once, too. ---

I’ve never seen Try2B Comprehensive say something stupid. And I can’t imagine why he would start this thread if he was stupid. Lacking any clear reason for _me_ to believe he is stupid, I can’t see why anyone else would think so.
