# Speaker quality tests

Is anyone aware of a sound file you can download to test the range of your speakers, such as the Dolby THX sound clip they play before most movies which you could download on the internet? Thanks for any help.

I have seen files such as “bass test” available on Kazaa, and they are presumably available elsewhere. No idea what the thing sounds like or if it’s accurate or calibrated or whatever.

you can download a freeware ( or shareware ,dont remember ) called sweepgen. it generates various test tones, you will have to connect your speakers to your pc somehow.
