I can’t find a clip of it but there was also an episode of LOST where Juliet’s ex-husband steps in front of a bus. And it is just as well done as the scene that Amp linked to.

Wow, we have a winner! I’ve never seen anything like that. I’m sure quite a few of those were genuine collisions caught on surveillance cameras, but there were also some great effects crashes.

Agreed. (I don’t like most movie versions of SK’s books.) This one is good, from The Devil’s Rejects. Especially gory.
