In any event, I doubt they’ll pass it this time around if the 0 Green Party primary ballots we distributed in my precinct are any indication. Tax money well spent

Ballot status for the presidential election piggy-backs on the state results, so they’re in no immediate danger until 2010. Ballots by party, statewide, in the recent primary:
Democratic 2,059,702
Republican 910,540
Non-partisan (propostions only) 13,714
Green 3,014
Constitution 7
Moderate 5
I have no idea what’s up with the Constitution and “Moderate” parties. I’m guessing they had ballot status in a single Congressional or legislative district, based on 2006 results, but not statewide. The election results don’t show any actual, like, candidates running in those primaries, so I guess the 12 lucky individuals got blank ballots.
The Greens did have a lively presidential race, however, with results as follows:
Cynthia McKinney (remember her?) 1,513
Howie Hawkins 464
Kent Mesplay 384
Jared Ball 311
They also had a handful of people running unopposed for nomination to down-ballot offices.
