I couldn’t bring myself to watch more than ten seconds of the original cartoon, but I will go and see this film. The thing I don’t get is: Rex Racer and Racer X are played by two different actors? I don’t know if if Scott Portman is supposed to be a young Matthew Fox… ---

Wonder if they’ll call him Greg or not. John Goodman, who I really like as an actor, just sounds _wrong_ here, somehow. I think it’s the mustache. Racing scenes remind me of Outrun. Video game. The Ws don’t know how to direct car action. They demonstrated that in the Matrix. That was an action event that happened on a freeway, not a car chase, there. And what the heck is up with that helmet? It just looks fake. ---

[/QUOTE] I believe the technical term is “phoning it in.” I have to say that I find that the fact that the lips are perfectly synched with the dialog to be incredibly disturbing. The only reason to see this film is Ricci. No, wait, she gets _really_ naked in _Black Snake Moan_ and I bet that there’s not a billionth of a second of Ricci nips in this, I’ll just watch _BSM_ again. ---

perhaps they will explain why in the world people couldn’t figure out that rex racer and racer x are the same person. if he really wanted to hide his identity he should have used another letter— like q or w. not much of a difference between x and rex. esp. on race forms, which should have last name first, first name last, entries. ---

I only hope that they have that scene where Spritle and Chim-chim take a midnight drive through a wild forest while wearing top hats and monocles in a jalopy that they made themselves, which is, as I have often said, the best thing ever shown on television, ever, BAR NONE! ---
