Does Boeing still give tours of their airplane assembly plant in Everett? I loved that.
And I’ll ditto the Pacific Science Center. I’ve been all over the USA and Seattle’s science museum is one of the best I’ve ever seen.

You can burn a day or two easy at Seattle Center and there about. You mentioned the Space Needle, others the Sci Center and EMP. There’s also the Children’s Museum. Great thing about it is there’s only one door in or out so you can pretty much let yer kids run free while you chill on your ludes (or latte). Then there’s the waterfront down below the PP Market. See Sylvester the Mummy at Ye Olde Curiosity Shop (free). For a close get outta dodge head to Mima Mounds (also free). Unique geological feature. Then there’s Mt St Helens volcano, but I can’t vouch for it cause I haven’t been there in years. Then there’s Oly itself, the capitol. Free too. I’d reccomend the brewery tour, but its long gone. If you really want a day trip you can head up to Whidbey Island. There’s Fort Casey, an old WWII fortification (free except pay to park) and the area is beautiful. At Coupville best lunch of mussels I’ve ever had at The Front Street Grill. I mean they’re Penn Cove mussels and you’re sitting there looking out on said Penn Cove. Cape Disappointment is also quite impressive, despite its name (it’s free too).
Well, looks like Christmas is cancelled. At least in WA. My SIL called and she’s having some medical procedure the week before, so we will not be making the trip after all.
The plus side is I’ve made a list of all the stuff mentioned in this thread, and hopefully we will visit next summer when the weather is nicer and we can try to do more outdoorsy stuff.
Thanks for the replies all. I’m bookmarking this thread in case it still has legs and anyone else has anything to add.
