Hmmmm I doubt I would be alone in bed during the day as my soulmate knows better to leave me to myself for very long. I used to have a nice desk that I could just pull my bed up under with just enough clearance to fit my legs, and I could lay in bed with the keyboard on my lap, using MouseKeys as my cursor. Ahhh, laziness rules. ---

I’d read some of the books that I’ve been meaning to get around to. I wouldn’t be alone, either; the cats think that I am their own customized cat pillow and Fun Thing to Walk On. It’s kinda nice to have a couple of warm, fuzzy, purring kitties curled up next to you, as long as they keep their claws to themselves. Oh, and I’d turn off the phone ringer so that I wouldn’t know about all those telemarketers calling. ---

For reasons of extreme laziness, I sleep in a sleeping bag on my bed. For the past few weeks, for most days (especially the cold ones) I just shuffle over to the computer, sit down, still in my sleeping bag, and go online. And stay that way for a few hours. I’m in bed right now. My computer’s a laptop. When my parents got the new house (great parents I’ve got: they decided to move when I was away at college; when I got home they said they’d let me sleep in the “guest room”), the bed is about the only piece of furniture they bothered to put in my room. I convinced them to get me a desk over the summer, but they still haven’t gotten around to getting me a chair for it. * * * “I’m just too much for human existence – I should be animated.” –Wayne Knight ---

I have a friend who has one of those hospital style desks you can pull over the bed, and she does the majority of her (quite substantial) online time in bed. I am jealous, and want one. ---
