I thought this deserved special recognition: Akin to those flowers that take a century to bloom, nine years after joining the Straight Dope Message Board (Join Date: 04-04-1999, member #479), Charter Member [SpinyNorma](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/member.php) finally posted for the very first time in the [Lurkers Anonymous: Roll Call Part II](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=468241&page=2) thread. I don’t know if there is some sort of “living under a rock” award that can be granted for this achievement, but it is interesting to see evidence of what was previously thought to be extinct, namely a reticent Texan. And we hope that SpinyNorma’s next post will appear earlier than 2017… ---
