Iā€™m on my own in this house, supposedly working my arse off for tomorrowā€™s writing deadline, wearing my SOā€™s Italian replica shirt and screaming like mad. I hate to think how grumpy heā€™ll be if Italy lose. And heā€™s not even Italian. And neither am I. What am we thinking of? I think itā€™s sort of displacement support, to stop us thinking too much about our quarter final on Friday. Actually I think weā€™ll tank Brazil. I HATE GOLDEN GOAL, by the way. Itā€™s just not football. Hate it, hate it, hate it. ---

Cracking goal, though. And the lad who scored it (Ahn Jung-Hwan) was quite cute, too. He looks completely gob smacked by what heā€™s done. But Iā€™m titted off that Italy are out. ---

Wow, I have chills, and Iā€™m only following via the internet. Canā€™t wait to see the game on tape tonight. What a great result for Korea and Asian football! As nuts as it was there after the victory over Portugal, itā€™s got to be unimaginable tonight across their country. And they have exceeded Japanā€™s result which will just make them crazier. ---

It looked undeserved to me, but Iā€™m American, what do I know. The Korean did get the ball, he did put his leg over tottiā€™s thigh when he was running, and Totti who had a decent run with the ball had been out there for one hour 40 minutes-hell Iā€™d go down to. But when you try to play defense for 70 minutes after playing well for 20, itā€™s bound to happen. ---

Wow! What a match. And what a World Cup this is turning out to beā€¦ Now I wonā€™t be surprised if we see Senegal v S Korea in the final. That card was definitely undeserved, and if I was Italian Iā€™d be quite peeved at the referees. Theyā€™ve had some appalling decisions against them. I mean, that ref was 40 yards away! How can you call something like that in extra time. - Salil. ---
