I can read the spoiler in the notification.
Opera 6.05.
Does this happen to others, or am I just special?
🙂
Thanks,
CP

It’s happened to me with every browser I’ve ever used.

The spoiler tag is a custom modification made by the admins, not a vBulletin feature designed by the programmers. It’s a fairly simple modification, within the purview of what the local administration is willing/able to change, to make the blacked-out text in the thread, but a change to the e-mail notification text or the mouseover thread preview would be much more involved. Changes of that sort are potentially dangerous, for a number of reasons (at best, it would make it more difficult to get outside tech support from Jelsoft), and so the Administration rightly judges that it wouldn’t be worth it.

In the meantime, there’s no really ideal solution. If you’re posting a spoiler, I think you can further hide it by putting sufficient text before the spoiler box. If you’re reading the notifications, you can just be careful about which threads you subscribe to, and which notifications you read.
