every time I see your name, Spoofe, I think of the name Bo Derek, and that part in the movie where she is running down the beach with that beaded hair and her deep tanned skin… aw man, I did it again… ---

I’ve heard the brutal rumor that he didn’t even know who Bo Diddley was. _(Scary huh?)_ Say it ain’t so **Spoofe**. You’re too witty for your own good sometimes. (And I respect that in a man.) ---

I did know. Do know. Did? Anyway, when I came up with the name, it was such a completely random choice that it didn’t occur to me until much later that I had done it. And by then, I didn’t have the heart to respell “Diddly” as “Diddley”. ---

[hijack]Anyone remember **Heathers**? In college, I hung out with a girl who had that for her favorite movie. We were watching the scene in the cafeteria where the two jocks are observing Christian Slater’s character, who is wearing…a black trench coat. Hm hm. Anyway, one says to the other, “Who does that guy in the coat think he is—Bo Diddley!” My friend says, “I love every line in this movie, even the ones that don’t mean anything. I mean, bo diddly—what does that mean?” I had to get out a copy of Rolling Stone and show her how Bo Diddley, the **musician** , had recently be admitted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. To her credit, she wasn’t embarrassed, but just reacted like, “Well well, I learned something.”[/hijack] ---

In Super Mario Brothers 3, there was a little ghost in the castles that would attack Mario when Mario’s back was turned to him. Wasn’t his name Boo Diddly? ---
