Is there no prize money awarded for league placings (as there is in The Premier League)? If so, how would it be awarded in this case?

I don’t know, but the last 5 games are necessarily more difficult for the team at the bottom of the top 6 than for the team at the top of the bottom 6. If more prize money is always given to the team in 6th irrespective of points gained, it would be justified on the fact that they were ahead of the 7th place team after 33 games, which was the last time everyone had played each other. You don’t need to know that for the exam though.
