This is like the people who said that the name “iPad” would mean that Apple’s device would always be associated with feminine hygiene products. Words have different connotations in different contexts.

There was a common expression “You’re full of beans today!” And people didn’t avoid it because of the supposed connection between beans and flatulence.

Teams in the Philippine Basketball Association are all corporate-owned and so the teams tend to be named after whatever product the parent company wants to promote that season. Of the current teams, I think the winner in terms of name changes is the team currently called the Star Hotshots.
