I have a [Sporty’s electronic E6B](http://www.sportys.com/PilotShop/product/9343) around here somewhere. I never got the hang of it. (Actually, by the time I bought it I was flying helicopters locally and didn’t really need an E6B.) I also found it burned through batteries rather quickly. Sporty’s has an [updated model](http://www.sportys.com/pilotShop/product/17504) out, and I’m thinking of trying again. Not that I need one, since I’m still progressing toward the financial ability to fly regularly; but I can practice until that time comes. I’ll also be practicing with the [‘whiz wheel’](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E6B).
