You might want to go over your numbers again. Both Doctor Why and I got 18 right and are male.
If you had the data, it would be really interesting to see if there’s any gender related pattern to the errors, such as a face that men are more likely to guess as fake.

Female - 9/20. Ouch.
I think most of my errors were real smiles I categorized as fake. I also noticed I was much more willing to believe men were smiling at me than women. Meaningful?

I’m male, guessed 15 right out of 20. Out of the five wrong, three were fake and two were genuine. Only one of my wrong guesses was female, and she was the asian woman.
What would be the probability of my guessing 15 right by pure chance?

I missed 3, 6, 16, and 20 ( 2 fakes and 2 genuine).
Definitely in the eyes…

Anti-social male, 18/20. I thought reals were fakes, which makes sense. I tend to think people are faking or being deceptive, so I lean that direction if I’m unsure. I swear I took this exact test like 2 years ago.
I wonder what the the researchers would think of my fake laugh. I can do a very convincing fake belly laugh that freaks people out when I stop abruptly. Thing is, if I do it for more than 10 seconds I start to laugh for real and get the warm fuzzy feelings associated with an actual laugh, but I don’t do anything differently in my face AFAIK.
