For the most attentive Trekers. The Have Gun will Travel episode, The Hanging of Roy Carter. The prison minister who Paladin talks into saving the innocent Roy Carter is named April, the name given to the first commander of the Enterprise. Gene Roddeberry’s picture was used. The episode was written by Roddenberry. 🙂 I win the internet! ---

**The Silent Service** , a post-WW2 television series based on various US Navy submarines has several episodes with DeForest Kelley as a Lieutenant Commander and Leonard Nimoy as a Sonarman (but not together). ---
