Spotting Star Trek actors in other programs

William Windom (“Commodore Decker”) in the ***M:I ***episode “Blues.” Vince Howard (“Uhura’s Crewman”) and John Crawford (“Commissioner Ferris”) are in this episode too. As is Bob Bralver, stuntman/stunt double in TOS, TMP, TNG, and DS9.

Barry Russo, Commodore Bob Wesley (!) in The Ultimate Computer, and Lt. Commander Giotto in The Devil in the Dark, played John Duke in “To Steal a Mink” on* 77 Sunset Strip, 1963.
*

He was also a hood in an early episode of The Untouchables:

HOOD: You don’t care what happens to me! You don’t care about my skin!
**
ELIOT NESS:** That’s right, punk. I care more about the skin on a sausage!

Charles “Adam” Napier in the ***M:I ***episode “Run for the Money.”

Anthony Zerbe (“Dougherty”) and Bruce Watson (“Crewman Green”) in the ***M:I ***episode “The Connection.”

Just saw the 1995 political/romantic comedy The American President, starring Michael Douglas and Annette Bening, and noticed two ST alums in it.

Ron Canada, as a reporter:

Gail Strickland, as the wife of the White House chief of staff:

James Gregory (“Dr Adams”) and Charles Dierkop (“Morla”) in the ***M:I ***episode “The Bride.”

Gail Strickland was in two episodes of ***Seinfeld ***as “Ms Landis,” who interviewed Elaine for a job at Doubleday.

Susan “Mara” Howard, James “Captain Styles” Sikking, Jack “Subcommander Tal” Donner, and Paul “*Merchantman *Captain” Sorenson in the M:I episode “Committed.”

Joan Collins (Edith Keeler) and Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi) both appear in this 1978 British TV ad for Cinzano: Cinzano Airline TV Advert - Joan Collins & Leonard Rossiter - YouTube

The most recent episode of The Orville included Sirtis as a teacher, and also ST alums Tony Todd, Ron Canada and F. Murray Abraham; it was directed by Jonathan Frakes.

Sharon “Odonna” Acker as “Annette” in the M:I episode “Trapped.”

Just watched Witness for the Prosecution (1957) - a great murder mystery/courtroom drama - again, and spotted Ian Wolfe as a barrister’s servant and Torin Thatcher as the lead prosecutor.

Aaaand in the 2016 remake of Witness for the Prosecution (very different from, but even better than, the 1957 original IMHO), Kim Cattrall appears as the man-hungry Mrs. French.

Joseph Ruskin (“Galt”) in the HH episode “The Gestapo Takeover.”

Barbara Anderson (“Lenore Karidian”) in the ***M:I ***episode “Break!” Barbara replaced Linda Day George (“Casey”) in seven of the ten episodes she missed the final season while she was on maternity leave.

Ken Lynch, chief mining engineer in* The Devil in the Dark*, played a police sergeant in 77 Sunset Strip, Don’t Wait For Me.
As I remarked before, this actor was in many 1960s programs.

Grace Lee Whitney! Playing a stripper named Natashia on 77 Sunset Strip, 88 Bars.
It was the eyes that clued me in.

terentii, how many episodes of Mission: Impossible do you have left to watch? If you’re up to the Barbara Anderson era (and you’re watching them in order), you should be getting near the end.

And where are you watching them? It hasn’t been on any of my channels for a few years.

It’s on five days a week on CHCH here in Toronto, from 14:00 to 15:00. They started the final season last week, so there are another 20 or so episodes left to go. (I’m looking forward to the one where they trick Vic Morrow into thinking he can’t remember the last three decades.)

I have Rogers Cable; I’ve never tried to pick up CHCH through the ether.

77 Sunset Strip “5” the episode that dumped everyone save Efram Zimbalist, Jr. I could have sworn Victor Buono was in a TOS episode, but I can’t find it. At any rate, the prime find, William Shatner is in “5”, episode 1.
