Paul Carr (“Lt Kelso”) and Celeste Yarnall (“Marta”) in the first regular Columbo episode “Ransom for a Dead Man.”
I see now that this was actually a second Peter Falk pilot after 1968’s “Prescription: Murder” with Gene Barry. I had no idea there was more than one.
Barbara “Angela” Baldavin as Robert Culp’s secretary in the Columbo episode “Death Lends a Hand” (1971).
I recently saw Michael G. Hagerty as a guy who beats Woody in an arm-wrestling match on Cheers.
Also, Don McManus as the husband and manager of a kids’ music star on Frasier.
And Dan Butler as Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe, who played a recurring (and always entertaining) role as a macho sports-radio commentator, also on Frasier.
I happened to catch a episode of the old series “Time Tunnel” last night, “The Kidnappers” in which the “Curator of Canopus” was portrayed by Michael Ansara (Kang). He joined series regulars Whit Bissell (Commander of Space Station K-7), Lee Merriweather (Losira), and, of course, James Darren (Vic Fontaine) And much of the show took place on an alien installation and I can’t swear to it but the corridors sure looked like they came from a certain starship.
I noticed that in the Trojan episode of Time Tunnel, Paris’ robe has a zipper.
At this point when we run into a character actor of say the visibility of Severn…the shock is that they WERNT on Trek at some point
It just occurred to me that Paul Carr (“Lt Lee Kelso”) and Joseph Ruskin (“Gault”) were in this episode. Carr played Paris.
The battle scenes were lifted from the movie The 300 Spartans, so the Greeks were actually fighting Persians instead of Trojans.
Ah, you are correct.
Movies about the Trojan War seem to have a problem with anachronisms. I remember in the 2004 movie Troy, Helen in one scene carries a clearly modern parasol.
Time Tunnel used footage from movies liberally. It gave the show a big-budget feel.
The scenes with the Trojan Horse were taken from Helen of Troy.
There’s an interview with the 1990s surviving cast on YouTube. I’ve always loved that main set!
Jon Lomar (multiple “Old Man” roles) as the Coroner at the murder inquest in the Columbo episode “Lady in Waiting.” (1971)
Saw a Night Stalker ep with Katherine Woodville (Natira from For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky)
She had an interesting life. She was married to Patrick Macnee and also Edward Albert, son of Eddie Albert. Retired from acting in 1979. She was 13 years older then Edward but still outlived him by 7 years.
Robert Picardo guest-starred in last night’s CSI:Vegas.
John Fiedler (“Mister Hengist/Jack the Ripper”) as a cardiologist in last night’s Columbo episode “Blueprint for Murder.”
A few months back I saw the touring company of Aaron Sorkin’s stage adaptation of Harper Lee’s To Kill A Mockingbird. I just realized that Richard Poe, who played the judge, has several ST appearances to his name.
Steinfeld was sensational. Her Oscar nomination was richly deserved.
When I posted five years ago, I hadn’t seen the TG re-make; I only knew that Kim Darby was awful in the original (I don’t think that was her fault. I blame the director.) Having seen the re-make since, I concur Steinfeld was simply excellent and the movie was outstanding.
F. Murray Abraham plays a philandering old coot on an Italian holiday with his grown son in S2 of The White Lotus.
Deep Roy appears as a circus assistant manager and a clown in Big Fish, which I just saw last night.
