It felt nice to sit outside for a while today. It was a little chilly since I had on a t-shirt but still nice. I haven’t gotten much done today, I keep looking at my list and realize a lot on it is out of my control, I’m waiting for other people to get back to me. I could start some laundry but it can wait until the morning. Laundry seems like a morning chore, not an afternoon chore. ---

My friend was actually from here originally, but he’s studying in Ohio now. But he’s back in town for the week. We went to a mall and hunted owls and huffed tea. Good times. 😛 And on that note (see what I did there?), it’s piano time. ---

Howdy Y’all! Home from Agape Supper over to the church house. The kidlets made flat bread for use durin’ Communion tonight. From the sound of the bread makin’ I heard in the kitchen, a good time was had by all. Also I had some amazin’ soup that contained chikin, barley, navy beans, carrots, onions, celery and cajun seasonin’. Just got home (from training); gotta do dinner quick as I have a 9pm call (with our Asia team). I bought pre-breaded chicken cutlets (because they were on sale - don’t judge). There are cooking instrux on the package: “COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: Grill, Broil, Bake, Pan Fry until product is done.” Uhhh, geez, thanks guys! :rolleyes: Howsabout a time &/or a temp to cook 'em at, because what you gave me are merely cooking _ideas_. :smack: ---

Breakroom is currently “under discussion and development”. New issue is bathrooms. With the fancy new ones done they started destruction for reconstruction of the old ones. Problem is today when full strength staff “hit the head” at break, and a lot of flushing happened at once, this amazing stream of water came out the floor drain. On the good side they had a porta-potty trailer on site in less than 20 minutes. On the bad side, it was 20 minutes. Or walk through potential gray water. Is it just me or are other people thinking we’ll need a relaunch of the relaunch? 😃 ---

I don’t know why I have gotten into watching _Bait Car_ I usually don’t like those kinds of shows but these people are so stupid, it’s like watching a train wreck. The it goes into _Alaska State Troopers_, once again a type of show I don’t like. There’s a trooper on there, I can’t remember his title but his name is Melvin Colley. Every time they mention his name I think they are saying Officer? Melancholy. ---

The sprog has to make an Israeli flag for a geography project. Does he ask his mom, the nice Jewish girl, for help? No. He asks his anal-retentive Irish Catholic father. If he’d asked his mom, the nice Jewish girl, he’d’ve been done about an hour and a half ago. Apparently, the official standard is “Meh, it looks about right. Close enough for government work”, something the anal-retentive Irish Catholic can’t quite wrap his mind around. I am so amused right now. ---

Preferably close to a good bar. ---

Because you’re the first one I think of when he does these strips… We’re supposed to have a nice, sunny day and Food Lion has ribs on sale, so I’m thinking that’s a sign. I can open the garage, set up the smoker so it’s smoking out the door, and supper, plus leftovers, will be falling off the bones in no time! Of course, I need to go to the store first, which means showering and getting dressed and stuff. Eventually. It’s still dark out. I’ve already got the dishwasher running. Loading it is a real challenge sometimes. It’s sorta like Tetris with plates and pots, but you don’t want them fitting together too tightly. There needs to be room for the water to jet and flow. I’m pretty good at it - very rarely does something have to go thru a second time. (OK, in that case, I’ll usually just hand-wash and be done with it.) And I’ve had breakfast, and I’m caffeinating. So after I read my usual morning stuff, I’ll do the shower thing and head in to Leonardtown. And while the ribs are smoking, I might actually start gathering sticks in the front yard. Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ 'Tis 61 Amurrkin out and waaaaaaaaay foggy with a predicted high of 81 and rain this afternoon and tonight. Tomorrow is supposed be rainy/stormy with a predicted high of 67. Weather be weird. **ruble** I am beginnin’ to believe that perhaps not quite the brightest of minds engineered this re-design. **spidey** cook 'em 'til they’re done. What done means is up to you. **flytrap** I thought about goin’ to bed with Mel last night but he already had a date with **MOOOOOOM**. However, Mel and I may go to bed together tonight. I feel like an idiot. I walked out the door this morning to go to work and found out that I left my driver’s side window open all night. In the rain. :smack: Fortunately its an old truck with power nothing, so the rain just made the seat wet, rather than ruining a bunch of electronics. ---
